The appendix on its own usually doesn’t cause any discomfort or come with any issue until it becomes inflamed/infected.

1. Mind your diet
A balanced everyday diet comprising soluble fiber and non soluble fiber as well as vegetables and fruits is key. Whole grains, wheatbread, carrots, cucumber, mint leaves and more leafy greens should form part of diet to lower the risk of getting the appendix inflamed.
2. Drink lots of water
Warm water especially is a great way to clean the insides and for the appendix, it’s a great way to keep it from getting infected. Another great way to reduce the risk of appendicitis is by mixing juice (natural) with water to keep the area flushed and clear.
