Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is confident in Willy Caballero’s ability as a goalie and believes he can frustrate Messi.
Barcelona visit the Etihad on Tuesday for the return leg of their UCL clash. The Catalan club sit at the top of their group having recorded perfect games against Mochengladbach, Celtic and City.
Caballero steps in for Claudio Bravo who was sent off against his old club, and Guardiola believes that the Spaniard can stifle Messi and Co.
“Willy is ready. In his last game at Old Trafford he played really good and made one or two saves,” Guardiola said.
“I have a lot of confidence in him that he will make a good performance. He has to be ready because he is going to face the best.
“Some of the best strikers in the world are in the same team in Barcelona. But I have a lot of confidence about his quality.”
