Liverpool and Man City are set to go head to head in the battle to capture Schalke left-back Sead Kolasinac, reports Bild.
The Bosnia international, 23, will be available on a free transfer when his contract at the Veltins-Arena expires at the end of June.
Given the likelihood of him leaving Schalke, a long list of clubs from across Europe have been linked with a move for the Bosnian, who could be available on the cheap in January.
Everton, Stoke and West Ham were said to be among clubs considering a swoop but now, according to Sport Bild, a trio of clubs have broken ahead of the chasing pack.
Liverpool and City are both said to be very keen on landing him either in January or on a free in the summer however they will face stiff competition from Roma.
