Barcelona and Bayern target Marquinhos wants to sign a new contract at PSG.
The Brazilian, 22, has established himself as a key-first team player at PSG in the wake of David Luiz’s return to Chelsea.
Both Barca and Bayern have been linked with a move for the former Roma man, who is happy with life in the French capital.
“I would like to stay here. This is my fourth year at PSG, I have adapted to life here and I speak French,” he is quoted as saying in AS.
“In addition, my family feels good in Paris. Things are going well and I would love to stay here, I hope to sign a [contract] renewal. It does not just depend on me, but also on whether my performances are good.”
PSG have endured a difficult start to the 2016-17 campaign and are four points behind Ligue 1 leaders Monaco, but Marquinhos is confident they will soon be back to their usual best.
“It is hard to explain this difficult spell,” he added.
“You always have to win at PSG. A draw is already regarded as a bad result.
“But PSG are capable of doing anything. We are aware of our abilities and we are confident the best is yet to come. We are working to get out of this situation. Everything will soon be forgotten.”
