Cristiano Ronaldo’s place in the Real Madrid starting line-up would be under threat if Eden Hazard joins this summer, according to Terry Gibson.
The potential addition of Hazard this summer would leave Zinedine Zidane with a selection headache – with Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale, Alvaro Morata, Isco and James Rodriguez all current attacking options for the Real boss.
Speaking on the La Liga Weekly podcast, Gibson said: “At the moment you would compare him to Isco and James Rodriguez, who are not playing on a regular basis.
“So there would be a big casualty if Hazard comes in. It won’t be Gareth Bale. It will be Karim Benzema or Cristiano Ronaldo – unless Ronaldo goes to centre forward.”
