Celta Vigo striker Iago Aspas has agreed a contract extension tying him to the club until 2022.
The 29-year-old has scored 21 goals in all competitions for Celta this season and is the highest-scoring Spaniard in LaLiga with 15, leaving him behind only Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Cristiano Ronaldo.
“Unbeatable news for Celta and their fans,” the club said in a statement. “Aspas will play in light blue until 2022.”
Aspas came up through Celta’s youth ranks and returned to the Galician club in 2015 after two largely unsuccessful years at Liverpool and Sevilla.
