Arsenal legend, Tony Adams has claimed he never learnt anything new under Arsene Wenger, as the Frenchman looks to turn around a poor start to the season for the Gunners.
Arsenal lost 4-0 to Liverpool before the international break, and sold Oxlade-Chamberlain to the Anfield club, with the fans not so happy with the sale.
Wenger signed an extension to his contract in the close-season and Adams, who won the Premier League under the 67-year-old has hinted at his inability to improve players.
“For preparation and recovery he was better than anyone,” Adams told the Islington Gazette. “As a psychologist – regarding his interaction with his group of players – he was fantastic, second to none.
“But did he teach me anything? No. Did he teach me how to defend? No. He didn’t teach Nigel Winterburn, Lee Dixon, he didn’t teach Steve Bould or Dave Seaman.”
