Former footballer Curtis Woodhouse has given his reaction to reports that Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand is planning to embark on a new career in professional boxing.
Rio Ferdinand, who now works as a pundit for BT Sport, is expected to announce his plans in a statement on Tuesday.
Ferdinand would be following in the footsteps of Curtis Woodhouse, who became British super-lightweight champion in 2014 after ending his football career.
The former Sheffield United midfielder gave his response to the rumours, writing on Twitter: “What’s wrong with these footballers!! Wish Rio Ferdinand all the very best if he decides to give pro boxing a go. Who is anybody to say what he can or can’t do. Live ya life.”
