Real Madrid have announced that Marcos Llorente has signed a new four-year contract.
The 22-year-old has agreed to a new deal that will run until the end of the 2020-21 season.
Speaking to the clubs website, the Spanish youth international said: “I’m very happy about renewing my contract. I hope that we can enjoy big titles this year and in years to come!”
While he also added: “I am thrilled to extend my contract with Real Madrid. I dreamed of playing here when I was little and it is the club of my life and all of my family.
“I can’t wait to grow with this club but I must be patient. I am young and I know there is strong competition here, I’m hoping to learn as I go.
“My footballing idol is Xabi Alonso and I hope to win as many titles as I can with Real Madrid.”
While he said on his Twitter account: “Very happy today and will be every day at @realmadrid. Thank you to the club, the team, technical staff and fans.”
Marcos Llorente made his professional debut for Los Blancos in October 2015, and since went on to make a further two appearances that season.
And after impressing on loan at Alaves in the 2016/17 campaign where he made 32 appearances, Llorente has broken into the first team under Zinedine Zidane this year.
