Marseille have completed the permanent signing of Aston Villa left-back Jordan Amavi following an initial loan deal.
Jordan Amavi is expected to make his international debut for France soon, and will play his football in the south of France for the foreseeable future.
The 23-year-old has even been called up to the full France squad after Layvin Kurzawa dropped out because of an injury.
Amavi played 48 games in all competitions for Villa across two seasons, an impressive record considering the injury he suffered in his first campaign with the club, and arrival of Neil Taylor as fresh competition in January.
Arriving for just under £8m from Nice in the summer of 2015, it’s thought that the fee that Marseille have parted with for his services exceeds that.
Amavi has signed a four-year contract with the French giants.
