Nemanja Matic has insisted that he will get “better” on the pitch.
Matic moved to Manchester United from Chelsea in a £40m deal, but was behind the rest of his teammates in terms of fitness as he did not have a full pre-season.
Matic has started all seven Premier League games for Jose Mourinho’s team, as well as both Champions League fixtures, but the 29-year-old believes that he has not yet reached best form.
“I trained alone. I can feel it in some parts of the game,” Sky Sports News quotes Matic as saying. “My body is not ready yet and I have some difficulty, of course, but I try to hide that and to play simple. I will be better.”
