Reece Oxford has expressed his unhappiness at the decision to curtail his loan spell at Borussia Monchengladbach, according to The Sun.
The West Ham midfielder failed to make a single appearance for the Bundesliga club during two months in Germany, finding himself an unused sub on several occasions.
Oxford spent last season on loan at Reading, and a source close to the 18-year-old has revealed he was dissatisfied being overlooked at Gladbach.
“Reece hoped the move to Germany would work out better than it has, but it’s time to come back,” the source told The Sun.
“Monchengladbach play a certain way and had a system in place before they signed Reece, and for some reason he has not fitted into what they are doing. If he’s not going to feature after they were hammered 6-1, then when will he?”
