Swansea City have signed Slovenia defender Matic Paljk on a free transfer until the end of the season, subject to international clearance.
The 20-year-old left-back, who was a free agent following his release from FC Koper, will join the club’s Under-23s team following a successful trial.
Matic Paljk told the club’s official website: “It is like a dream come true to sign with a Premier League team. Now it is on me to show what I can do. I know I will have to work hard with the under-23s during this campaign to prove myself.”
He was recommended by scouts who had seen him in action last season and for Slovenia U21s.
The 6ft 3ins defender is predominantly left-sided but can play across the defence.
Swansea have had a solid start to the season, taking eight points from their opening eight games and sit 13th in the Premier League.
