Disneynature takes viewers to far off places through stunning images and entertaining animal adventures. Born in China, the most recent documentary, follows the stories of three animal families: A panda bear mother, a young golden Snub-nosed monkey, and a mother snow leopard.
These animals are native to China and a part of the country’s rich heritage. China is the only place in the world where pandas live in the wild, and this traditional almond gelatin dessert is pays homage to the national animal of China, the great Giant Panda.

Panda Almond Float
Silicone panda mold
4 small dessert dishes
Black food gel dye
1 cup boiling water
4 teaspoons (1-½ envelopes) plain gelatin
1 cup Almond milk
¼ cup sugar
3 teaspoons almond extract
In a bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over the boiling water. Stir until the gelatin has dissolved.
Bring the milk just to a boil in a saucepan, reduce the heat and pour in the gelatin mixture, sugar and almond extract. Whisk until dissolved completely.
Place the panda mold onto a baking sheet. Strain the milk mixture and then carefully spoon the liquid into the mold. Pour the rest of the milk mixture evenly into the four dessert dishes. Refrigerate until firm, 2-3 hours.
Pop the pandas out of the mold. Use a kitchen brush to add details with the black food gel dye.
Top the parfaits with fruit and pandas to serve.
