‘Star Wars’ Buzz: See Ron Howard’s Han Solo Images

Ron Howard

Back in June, we heard that there had been a changing of the guard in the world of new Star Wars movies. Directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller left the Han Solo spin-off movie and were replaced by Ron Howard.

Actor turned filmmaker Howard directed his first movie, Grand Theft Auto, 40 years ago and he’s helmed more than three dozen titles since then. Even though he’s a member of an older generation than Lord and Miller, Howard has been quite adept at using social media to keep his fans apprised of his current productions for some time now.

After he started his latest job, Howard shared a photo of young Chewbacca, teased the Galactic Empire and shared on-set photos of actors Donald Glover and Paul Bettany. Frankly, however, that’s only the tip of the iceberg.

The official Star Wars site has now compiled all the photos that Howard has shared on Twitter and Instagram. The site also promises to update every time a new photo is released. We recommend bookmarking the site and the specific compilation page.

Howard captioned his most recent photo “Spicey?,” which is perhaps a sly reference to “the Kessel run” mentioned by Han Solo (Harrison Ford) in Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope.

Like most people who enjoy sharing their experiences on social media, Howard includes photos of places he’s visiting (London)…

Before leaving for the studio this morning. Beautiful sunrise in London.

Not every photo is necessarily newsworthy, but it’s definitely fun to see all the shots together in one place, especially to get a sense of Howard’s sentiments.

I’m beyond grateful to add my voice to the Star Wars Universe after being a fan since 5/25/77.

The untitled Han Solo movie is scheduled for release on May 25, 2018.
